Helping the Tenderloin's young adults get a start in the local tech industry.

Volunteer with Code Tenderloin!

We welcome volunteers with experience training, assisting and mentoring  young seekers to reach their full potential.  This could include resume writing, mock interviews and fine-tuning personal conduct.

The goal of Code Tenderloin is to train young adult members of the Tenderloin community to be viable members of San Francisco's  growing technology industry.

The Tenderloin neighborhood has historically been overlooked. Code Tenderloin aims to provide qualified local candidates to technology companies as they move into the community .

Code Tenderloin provides pre-employment services including job search and interview training, as well as resources and services such as childcare, work attire and transportation. We also offer training stipends to our clients.

Funding is provided by Tenderloin Walking Tours, a five year old art project started by Del Seymour, a 30 year resident of the Tenderloin.

Tenderloin Walking Tours: Code Tenderloin is a fiscally sponsored project of Independent Arts & Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting people and projects that use media and the arts to build community and participation.
